Adobe Carousel Turns Sharing Photos Just For Apple Fans
When Adobe asked users about their photo sharing pain points, it generated some buzz about an expected Cloud solution. And today it delivered. Adobe Carousel automatically uploads, stores and syncs photos from all your devices--as long as they're from Apple--and lets you create shareable galleries (Carousels). When shared, you and they can edit and apply special effects to the photos nondestructively.
(Aside: Adobe PR denies that the name Carousel was inspired by the Kodak Carousel slide projector.)
It sounds neat on the surface, and it's based around solid goals--"People want ubiquitous access to photo libraries; to browse, adjust, and share all their photos from anywhere; to share a photo library with friends and family; and simple, easy-to-live-with setup." But I think there's an unstated goal here as well. Photoshop.com already meets a lot of these needs and the company could likely have … Read full post & comments
Adobe 3D-capable Flash-11 Is Almost The Final
Adobe Systems has released the Release Candidate, Flash Player 11 yesterday, an update that makes significant changes to its widespread use, but the competitive threat of the browser plug-ins.
Flash multi-platform offers advantages for developers, allowing them to write software without worrying too much about the browser compatibility problems. However, a variety of new Web standards - some already developed with the help of Adobe - are injecting new life into a plug-in version for free on the Web. At the same time, Flash is completely forbidden IOS devices and only a short walk on Android devices.
Flash works to keep relevant, however, partly because of the address to the top. As web standards to assume the tasks of format, presentation, animation, audio and video, Adobe is primarily aimed at flash games, high video quality, and internal business applications.
Many new features are in Flash 11, which can be downloaded from Adobe Labs. ... Read the entire post and comments

Bionic Droid (Photos)
The 4.3-inch QHD screen, for example, has been absolutely fantastic for our brief moments with her. It is bright and crisp, and viewing angle is surprisingly large. The phone does not feel as smooth as the Droid X, and it's probably because the Droid Bionic is slightly thicker and more rounded at the edges. Measuring 4.96 inches long and 2.63 inches wide and 0.52 cm thick, the Droid Bionic actually feels more like Droid 2, except without the QWERTY keyboard. At 5.57 ounces, it's not exactly easy, but Heft gives a good solid feel in the hand. It also has a relatively smooth surface all around.
Bionic Droid
Description on this phone is certainly impressive. In addition to dual-core processors and 4G, Droid Bionic also 512 MB DDR2 RAM, a mirrored HDMI (so you can watch the video as well as a phone when connected to your TV), playback of 1080p video, camera 8 megapixel camera on the back and front VGA camera for video calls, Wi-coms, of course, mobile Wi-Fi hot spots up to five devices (unless the fees of the carrier), and the Android 2.2, the WebKit browser, the browser also play Flash videos. Gingerbread lovers should not worry either, as we have heard is upgradable to Android 2.3. Following the example of Motorola Pro Droid, Droid Bionic Also involved in a series of profiles for home, work, and this weekend, as well as enterprise-level features that include remote wipe, security, compatibility with corporate email, calendar and solid Quickoffice applications.
As mentioned, the price is still unknown, but the availability should be around the second quarter of this year. Check out our hands on images to enlarge. / P>

Five Ways To Avoid Being Tracked On The Web
Web spies are smart and cunning. Recently they were caught looking in our browser history to determine the places we visited, even in what is called a private conversation with cookies turned off as Dan Goodin described earlier this month to the fund.
Many of the companies whose sites have been discovered using the technique said they had no idea of espionage and sentenced immediately. Julia Angwin reported many of the surprising answers on the site Technology Wall Street Journal.
If the owners of places of espionage are not even aware of the activity, which is the unsuspecting visitor to do? Well, could you wait for the government to intervene, as reported by CNET Declan McCullogh privacy Inc. blog.

Have SFPD Shows That The Unit Has Lost Five IPhone?
San Francisco police confirmed yesterday that "helped" the internal security of Apple in a recent search for a house that was to find an iPhone unpublished company-owned and lost in a bar in San Francisco. Wednesday, CNET was the first to report the search for the errant phone.
Apple has refused to recognize a lost device. But when it agrees with the statement last night through the Word file, a representative of the police marked the file "iphone5.doc," according to the Reuters news agency.
Immediately after the story first appeared in CNET, SFPD officials said they could not find any files that Apple had reported a lost iPhone or any of its officers had assisted in any investigation. The Los Angeles police have made similar statements yesterday morning.
However, yesterday afternoon, police in San Francisco had suddenly changed his story. He confirmed that as late as four Ingleside police station department was escorted by Apple's internal security for a household in the district of San Francisco Bernal Heights.

Editor's note: This roundup was originally released 24th June
While we await the official announcement of the next iPhone, we can only guess what we will see. Some of the rumors about the new handsets are contradictory - one camp suggesting a minor update with iPhone 4S, while another predicted a major update to 5 with an iPhone - but disagreement, after all, it ' is often what the rumor is all about.
Since all conflicting information can be difficult to follow, we offer this handy timeline of iPhone rumors about five so far in 2011. We will add it along the way, and let us know if we left anything juicy tidbits.

Digital Media Schmidt says Google TV heading to Europe
Google TV will be launched in Europe early next year, even if its difficult start in the U.S., company Chairman Eric Schmidt told the audience in Edinburgh, Scotland, last night.
Provide the keynote MacTaggart at the Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival, one of the main events of the British television industry, Schmidt tried to reassure broadcasters, according to a Reuters report on the speech.
"Our intention is to support the content industry, providing an open platform for the next generation of television to evolve in the same way that Android is an open platform for next generation mobile," said Schmidt. "We hope that Google TV for release in Europe early next year, and of course the UK will be a priority."
Google TV is a software platform that interacts with a user's television, Internet, cable audio, and / or satellite connection combined experience to provide a TV-Web app conventional television. Those with Google TV for example can use their smartphone as a remote control, search the Web on their TV while watching a show and create a website on their game, much like an iPhone-like screen in smartphone, but includes icons for launching programs and channels at once.
This product has struggled since its launch in the U.S., partly because major broadcasters are wary of Google's intentions and has blocked access to their programming. The history of television is filled with features that have made a homicide after discovering a new way to distribute content and refuses to fairly compensate content creators, industry sources said Greg Sandoval CNET at the end last year. The industry fears that Google may be another example. And the fact that the company has remained silent on how it intends to use Google TV has done little to allay those concerns.

IBM Is On The Data Very, Very, Very Large
According to an article published this week, the MIT Technology Review, IBM scientists working on a new warehouse 120 200 000 petabytes of data consists of a traditional hard drive work together. Information on the container giant is expected to save about 1000000000000 space for files and would need to more efficient simulations of complex systems, such as those used for weather and climate model.
The advantages of the new system from a file system known as the General Parallel File System (GPFS), which was developed at the IBM Almaden supercomputers allow faster access to data. It spreads the individual files across multiple discs, so that many parts of a file can be read or written at the same time.
GPF take advantage of the cluster architecture to provide faster access to data from the file, which is common in many storage devices, which provides the optimum use of available storage for superior performance. It 'also the storage engine of IBM's Watson, who could easily beat me at risk.

More For Social Networks Google Plus
+ When Google, the social networking site from Google later opened a limited field test of 10 days, the popular blogger Gina Trapani gave the company a simple advice through a tweet: "Google! Field tests of shit G + before public release. # Rememberbuzz. "
Trapani alluded to Buzz, a social networking tool launched by Google last year to take on Twitter. It has been criticized by users for being too intrusive. The failure came after Buzz Wave, a social network, launched by Google in 2009, was panned for being too complicated, even by technology enthusiasts. Now Google + G + A duck or third as many years for the giant search engine?
Circle of Trust
If the first reaction is anything to go by, the answer is no. Most people who have used the service found G + easy to use interface with a cool, well integrated with other Google products like Gmail, Gtalk, and Picasa. In addition, G + Mobile App for Android could be the "killer app", even with the iPhone version is being received. This is important because mobile devices are the driving force in social networking these days.
But Google needs to do more than just building a great product if it wants to take on Facebook. It has to offer something that is quite attractive to users who have already invested considerable time and effort in building and maintaining relationships on Facebook. As Venkky Preetham, an entrepreneur, KRDS, agency marketing on Facebook and preferred development consultant, said: "You have Facebook share data with selected groups of contacts you have Twitter to share the data publicly on this issue is solve G + ..? "
Although the G + seems to serve both functions that Preetham refers to its main task is a concept known as Circles. In contrast, treatment of all your contacts in an amorphous way, G + wants users to separate the various Circles - Friends, relatives, acquaintances, professionals, etc. before sending the update, G + requires the user to select one or more circles. So if you want to send an update, "Friends Club ', all in your" "family circle is not able to see it, and do not refer to others for the post. At each stage of the G + asks its users to to see who give up their knowledge.

Ten Ways To Work Smarter On Your IPhone
Spends time: At the end of a sentence, press the space bar twice to insert a period and a single space.
Faster quote: Anyone whose name includes punctuation (like mine) knows what a hassle it can be simply enter your name. Instead of going to the keyboard the number of punctuation, simply slide the key to insert an apostrophe.
Do the same for citations: time flow / question mark key cites increases.
Simple addition of special keys: Hold a number of other letters from the keyboard to use characters like the French soft C (as a "boy"), the Spanish tilde (like "Manana"), and I, umlaut (as in "naive" ).
Expand your horizons punctuation: You will find a wide selection of punctuation marks using the same technique in the keyboard punctuation. For example, insert an exclamation point upside down question mark or slip up (or holding) the key.
Add ellipses sliding the key (only the number of available punctuation). Insert different currency symbols by clicking the dollar sign, or drag the button to add a symbol of degree zero. Perhaps my favorite of these shortcuts is the ability to add a touch sliding the button on the dash.

Google Map Web Site To State Boundaries Phone
Google has taken steps to limit the disclosure of the locations of millions of iPhones, laptops, and other devices with Wi-Fi connections after a CNET article drew attention to privacy concerns.
The move by Google comes after the Mountain View, Calif.-based company was criticized for the way it made a database assembled by Android phones and Street View cars available to the public, even though it could link a geographical location with a unique hardware address of a Wi-Fi enabled device. The change means that Google now appears to be moving closer to the approach adopted by Apple and Microsoft, which never made their location databases public.
A source close to Google said some changes have been made to the way Google's location server processes location requests. A Google spokesman declined to comment.
Wi-Fi-enabled devices, including PCs, iPhones, iPads, and Android phones, transmit a unique hardware identifier, called a MAC address, to anyone within a radius of approximately 100 to 200 feet. Until CNET's June 15 article was published, if someone captured or already knew that unique address, Google's server could reveal a previous location where that device was located, including home or work addresses or even the addresses of restaurants frequented.

Apple Offers Details MobileMe Transition Icloud
Apple this morning issued a FAQ page on the transition to MobileMe icloud, including a note that the company will continue to provide a website address some utilities.
The details are about two weeks after Apple unveiled its icloud service in its annual developer conference.
In a question of whether users can access services from your browser icloud, Apple said the Web e-mail, calendar, contact management, and Find My iPhone is still available in the same way now, through Apple's Me.com. Users can access these services through iCloud.com an area of Apple acquired earlier this year.
Do not stop the MobileMe transition when next year are Web sites hosted by Apple did with iWeb, Apple photo galleries organized and files stored in the storage service Apple iDisk. Apple Gallery and iDisk for applications may also output IOS when MobileMe is closing. In addition, Apple said the timing of Dock items, the keychain password, Mac OS X Dashboard widgets, and System Preferences, it will be postponed once MobileMe is closed.
Google Enemy List, Primer
Apple is one of the oldest meme in the world - the best of friends can sometimes make the worst enemies. In the beginning, Google and Apple worked closely together, so much so that Google CEO Eric Schmidt then sat on board of Apple. These links are broken, however, that Google began to develop its mobile operating system Android phone. Schmidt resigned from the board of Apple, and soon after, Jobs was put Google in an internal meeting of the company, saying: "We do not enter the research activity. Went to the telephone company. Make no mistake, they want to kill iPhone. "Companies are competing in the market for browsers, email, voice chat and a host of other services. And with Apple icloud new offering, companies are certain to headers for storing data as well.
Microsoft: No company that competes more aggressively with Google on a wide range of Microsoft products and services. It starts with the search and search advertising, where Google continues to crush Microsoft, despite the billions spent by the software giant to move it. Google is gaining ground against Microsoft in the productivity of enterprise applications, offering online versions of e-mails, spreadsheets and word processors, which compete with Microsoft Office. Your browser Chrome has taken a market share of Internet Explorer. Your mobile phone operating system Android is becoming the most viable alternative for the iPhone in the smartphone market, not Windows Phone. Microsoft's recent bid to acquire Internet video chat provider Skype is considered by many across the spectrum of competition with Google, which has its own voice of Google.
And Microsoft, who knows better than most the difficulties of a long struggle trustbusters was the most active competitor Google operation of regulators to raise concerns.
Oracle: Oracle Database software leader is not the most obvious enemy Google. The two companies, which have a common enemy in Microsoft do not compete significantly. However, Oracle has filed a complaint last year, accusing Google of violating the patent Java Oracle acquired when it bought Sun Microsystems in January 2010. Last week, Oracle added another deposit to the case, saying the damage that run "in the billions of dollars."
PayPal: Google Checkout is certainly a competitor to PayPal method of payment for goods and services online. But Google has a lot of competitors. The battle becomes interesting when the PayPal Google accused of poaching a key person. Last month, PayPal sued Google, accusing it of trade secrets, the abuser of the mobile payment business, when he assumed Osama Bedier, who had been executive Paypal, working on mobile payments platform. Of the same suit also accused the Google VP of e-commerce Stephanie Tilenius, another former executive PayPal, violated his contract by taking his former colleague, Bedier. In response to the suit, Google said it will respect the trade secrets, and intends to defend against claims.
Facebook: Google's battle with Facebook is really the future of the Internet. If you think Facebook, where computer users more and more people are using their time on the Web is becoming something of an Internet alternative, that Google has every right to be worried. While computer users to hang out on Facebook, they are not search the Internet using Google. In fact, Facebook has developed relationships with Microsoft that provides access to rival Redmond users to add social networking features to its search engine, Bing. Google has tried to match some features of Facebook, a latest offers, a service that allows users to show love to websites in much the same was Facebook users can "Like" a site. But at a conference last month acknowledged D9 Schmidt, president of Google, now that he "messed up" seeing social networks go up without Google.
