HTC Boss: We're The Largest Developer After Google Android

HTC CEO Peter Chou came to Qualcomm Stadium Uplinq Sad Diego conference today to talk about Android and Windows 7 by phone, but not before own horn Tooting HTC.

Taiwanese handset maker shipped 25 million smartphones in 2010, Chou said, and continues its growth in the first quarter of 2011 with 9.7 million smartphones. Based on these figures, HTC claims its place as one of the top five brands in the world of smartphones, ranking No. 2 or 3 in some markets.

What's more, according to the Canalys report on the HTC is a good global provider of Android phones. Chou continued claims that his company is the largest developer behind Google's Android, which will create and release the source Android operating system.

While journalist's Android HTC clear success, Chou has confirmed the commitment by HTC to provide Windows-based phones also reminded conference attendees that the company has a long history of handling multiple operating systems Windows Mobile. As Windows 7 Phone, HTC has already been sent to six smart phones running the latest Microsoft operating system.

Starting from statistics and proclamations, the company also unveiled a new developer kit software or SDK that allow developers to create software for phones that emulates the look and feel of the HTC Sense. Called HTC meaning open, the program will also allow access to 3D authoring software on HTC devices and accessories for HTC Flyer pen to trace.
