CEO Of RIM Launch Problems Defend Playbook













Co-CEO at Research In Motion does not seem to have any regrets about starting the script was run.

Which is quite interesting because, well, nobody would say it was great.

At the press conference today, after disappointing results were announced, Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis gave long, winding and confusing at times, the answers why not do something different in the way the company introduced, launched and raised expectations in its first go tablet with touch screen.

And since last fall, when it introduced playbook, the company has repeatedly stressed the importance of how taking a pill to launch it from its competitors in the class. Playbook marketing campaign that rolled earlier this year announced quite boldly, that "amateur hour is over."

RIM and potentially confuse the heck out of prospective customers (and developers), announcing several updates to the playbook of products in the months between the filing in September and put in the hands of the retailers in April, including the ability of applications software-based QNX tablet for the game, and a model for the future with 4G connectivity.
